Max was originally purchased to "just" be a companion to Maya but I soon realized he too, was born for the sport of Schutzhund.

Max is:....a sweet giant.....who tries very, very hard to please his handler...who is willing to work anytime, any day....who is super drivey...who is quite serious during protection....who is very fast despite his size....who can track in a calm way despite his high drive....
He is a dog who has the potential to be a great competition dog if brought along with patience; Max is very different from Maya in the sense that certain new things can bother him just enough to make him lose his concentration; part of that is his immaturity and lack of experience and part of it is just his genetic make-up. I enjoy working with Max because he teaches me a lot about myself and enhances my skills as a handler. He "forces" me to tune into him a lot more than Maya ever has. He is a big presence no matter where he goes and my daughter and I love having him in our lives!
